LAUNDRY LIST (2025)

Silk Dupioni, cotton thread

Inspired by my grandmother's role as a young woman growing up in rural India, there were always chores to do. One of the most taxing was the laundry. A multi-day process, soap was made from scratch and clothes were hand-washed, then hung on lines to dry. The way the saris hung created sculptures in and of themselves, dotting the cityscape with vibrant bursts of color.
